Meet the Mission
Every spring, Forgotten Cats is flooded with urgent rescue calls as kitten season ramps up. Litters are born in alleyways, behind dumpsters, under porches—and they keep coming. What most people don’t realize is that many of these kittens are born to friendly, abandoned cats or community cats who never had the chance to be fixed.
Forgotten Cats takes in as many as resources allow, but each intake sets off a chain of expenses—from abortion spays that prevent suffering, to treating sick moms and fragile newborns, to sterilizing the kittens before adoption.
This campaign is designed to meet those urgent needs.
Why We’re Starting With $1,500
This is the first step in a staggered campaign—a long-term strategy rooted in persistence and compassion. Kitten season stretches Forgotten Cats’ resources to the limit, but with your support, we can move from reactive to proactive—saving more lives, faster.
The initial goal of $1,500 will help cover:
Phase 1 Priorities:
- Spay/abort procedures for pregnant stray moms.
- Emergency vet care and medications for moms and litters.
- Supplemental nutrition and milk replacer for orphaned kittens.
- Spay/neuter surgery once kittens reach 2 lbs (8–10 weeks old).
- Contributions toward low-cost vaccines and deworming.
What Your Donation Can Do
- $25 = Basic vet visit for a sick kitten
- $50 = Spay for a 2-lb kitten
- $75 = Spay/abort for a pregnant mom
- $100 = Meds + milk replacer for a litter
- $150 = Spay/neuter + vaccines for 3 kittens
- $250 = Full intake care for one litter and mom
